Summarize.City: Salem is an independent publication launched in July 2024.

Our mission is to ensure that every citizen has clear, transparent access the information they need to stay informed about local issues. We aim to fill the gap left by the unfortunate continued decline of local newspapers.

Most of our content is sourced directly from governmental communications (town meetings, public hearings, official broadcast channels) and objectively transposed and summarized with the aid of language learning models.
